WRAPPER : The evocative period wrapper on this copy ( artwork by Abbey ) is bright and complete. It is unclipped - showing the price 8/6 on the inside flap. The front panel is sound, showing gentle soiling to all the edges. The spine is sound - there is tape residue evident at the head of the spine. The head of the spine is gently scuffed. The back panel is sound, showing light wear ( rubbing and scuffing ) to all the edges.
BOOK : The book is square and very tight. There are no previous ownership inscriptions. The boards are clean, the corners are sharp. The spine ends are gently bruised. The pages are clean, though just a trifle dulled with age. No foxing. The closed page edges are a tad dusty. The binding is tight, the hinges are solid. A nice copy in a protected wrapper.
