A UK first edition, first impression.
Wrapper : The evocative period wrapper on this copy ( artwork by James Arnold ) is bright and complete. It is unclipped. The front panel is bright, clean and unfaded. The pictorial spine is clean and unfaded. It shows a tiny, insignificant touch of rubbing to the ends. The back panel is bright, showing inconsequential bruising at the top and bottom edges. Looks very sharp in protective plastic.
Book : The book is square and very tight. The boards are clean. The lower corners and the spine ends are gently bruised. The pages are clean. The closed page edges are toned and flecked. No dog-eared pages. The binding is solid - no cracked hinges. There are no previous ownership inscriptions. An uncommon title.
