An early UK 2/- yellow jacket reprint. Undated, but from the late 1930's.
Wrapper : The period wrapper on this copy ( artwork by Bip Pares ) is bright, complete and unclipped The front panel is bright and unfaded, showing gentle bruising and creasing at the top edge and light wear at each of the spine corners. The spine is unfaded, and is slightly scuffed and rubbed at the top and the bottom. The back panel is bright, showing light soiling to the main body and light wear to the edges and corners. Looks sharp in protective plastic.
Book : The book is tight. There are no previous ownership inscriptions. The boards are clean and bright. The corners are sharp. The spine ends are bruised. The text block is sound - the opening few pages are spotted. The closed page edges are dusty and show light and occasional spotting. There are no loose or dog-eared pages. The binding is tight. A nice copy in a protected wrapper.
