A SIGNED US first edition, first impression.
Wrapper : The evocative period wrapper on this copy ( artwork by Reindel ) is bright, clean and complete. It is unclipped. The front panel is bright, clean and unfaded, showing minor wear to the top edge - including a 2cm closed tear. The spine is clean. It is very slightly toned and is gently bruised at the head and tail. The back panel is clean and bright - it has a closed tear of 3cm running down from the top edge. Looks sharp in protective plastic.
Book : The book is square and very tight. The boards are bright and very clean. The lower corners and the spine ends are gently bruised. The uncut pages are clean, if slightly dulled. No foxing. The closed page edges are sound. No dog-eared pages. The binding is solid - no cracked hinges. There are no previous ownership inscriptions. This copy has a presentation inscription from the author on the half title page. A very nice copy in a protected wrapper.
