Shipping and delivery
We often receive unsolicited positive feedback on our packing - take a look at a snapshot from just one week here. Whether it's a £15 or £15,000 book we want you tobe as delighted with it as we were when we bought it. We've honed the art of packing over many years - and find the best way to ship books is as follows.
1. We check the book carefully to ensure it meets our standards for the described condition.
2. Wrap the book in paper to ensure there's no wrapper movement during transit.
3. Wrap several layers of honeycomb paper cushioning and tissue paper.
4. Box the honeycomb wrapped book in corrugated cardboard.
5. Wrap the box in brown paper (£25 minimum order value)
We aim to pack and despatch books within 2 working days of order.
Returns and exchanges
Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.
For any returns of books bought in our shop we require a receipt or proof of purchase.
There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted (if applicable). Book with obvious signs of use. Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery
Refunds (if applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.
If you are shipping an item over £75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
Late or missing refunds (ifapplicable) If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank accountagain. Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before yourrefund is officially posted. Next contact your bank. There isoften some processing time before a refund is posted. If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refundyet, please contact us at email@example.com.
If the item was marked as a giftwhen purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit forthe value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a giftcertificate will be mailed to you.
If the item wasn’t marked as agift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves togive to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and he will find outabout your return.

If you're thinking of selling books then here are some guidelines on how to identify first editions.
Look for the copyright pagetowards the front of the book. Books may state "first edition", or,depending on the age of the book it will start with '1' at the start or end ofthe number line. If you can't find it give us a call or send a photo - we're happy tohelp.
