Title in gilt on spine and in outline lettering on upper cover. All edges gilt. Marbled endpapers. 77 illustrations by Aldin, 7 full page. No wrapper as issued. The book is square and tight. The cream boards show an inevitable touch of soiling, as does the vellum spine. The lower corners are slightly bruised. The pages are very clean. No foxing. There are no loose or dog-eared pages. The binding is solid and without cracked hinges. There are no previous ownership inscriptions. SIGNED with an ORIGINAL SKETCH to the limitation page by Cecil Aldin. A very nice copy.
