Aldiss, Brian - Non-Stop

The author's first SF novel. Issued later with textual differences in the U.S. as STARSHIP (1959). A UK first edition, first impression. The scarce first issue of this title with crimson boards. Elusive.

WRAPPER : The wrapper on this copy is bright, clean and complete. It is unclipped. The front panel is bright and unfaded, showing gentle rubbing and shallow nicks to all corners. The spine is unfaded and shows rubbing and scuffing at the ends. The back panel is sound, showing slight soiling and bruising at the edges and tiny, tiny nicks to the corners. The top edge is lightly bruised with one or two surface creases. Looks sharp in protective plastic.

BOOK : The book is square and very tight. The boards are very clean. The spine ends. The pages are clean. No foxing. The closed page edges are unmarked - they are gently toned. No dog-eared pages. The binding is solid - no cracked hinges. There are no previous ownership inscriptions. A nice copy in a protected wrapper.
