A UK first edition, first impression.
Wrapper: The evocative period wrapper on this copy - artwork by Bip Pares - is bright and complete. It is unclipped. The front panel is bright and unfaded. It is lightly soiled and shows wear at each of the corners. The spine has the remains of a 2/6 sticker on it. It is toned and is rubbed and scuffed at the ends. The back panel is sound. It is toned and shows wear to the upper half of the panel. The wrapper has been internally reinforced to the top edges. Looks sharp in protective plastic.
Book: The book is square and very tight. The boards are clean and unfaded. The corners are sharp. The spine ends are gently bruised. The pages are clean. No foxing. The closed page edges are dusty and slightly soiled. There are no loose or dog-eared pages. The binding is solid and without cracked hinges. There are no previous ownership inscriptions. A nice copy in a protected wrapper.
