Barker is best known for three books : Letters from a Living Dead Man (1914), War Letters from the Living Dead Man (1915), and Last Letters From the Living Dead Man (1919). These were the product, she said, of messages she received from a dead man and were produced through automatic writing. This is the last of the three books and is a UK first edition, first impression. Original red boards, spine lettered in gilt. Lacking the wrapper. The book is square and tight. There are no previous ownership inscriptions - there is a book seller stamp on the ffep. The boards are clean. The corners and the spine ends are bruised. The pages are clean. The closed page edges are tanned. One page ( page 234 ) is damaged at the leading edge. The binding is solid, the hinges are sound. There are no dog-eared or loose pages. A nice copy.
