The ORIGINAL, hand-painted dustwrapper artwork for the Collins title, Who Calls the Tune. The book, by Nina Bawden, was later to be published in 1953. Who Calls the Tune was the author's first book and is a murder mystery. This piece is hand-painted and measures 200 mm x 165 mm. It is mounted on a light white board. The margins of the white board include instructions ( in pen and pencil ) to the printer, with further instructions and details on a pink slip pasted to the back. The piece is in excellent, unfaded condition. The white board is clean and bright. Unique.
