A bright UK first edition, first impression.
Wrapper : The wrapper on this copy is bright and complete. It is unclipped, showing the price 21s on the inside flap. The front panel is bright and unfaded, showing a 3cm closed tear ( barely visible ) at the lower spine corner. The spine is - unusually - unfaded. It shows a hint of bruising at the head. The back panel is bright. Looks sharp in protective plastic.
Book : The book is square and very tight. The boards are clean and unfaded. The corners are very slightly bruised. The spine ends are gently bruised. The pages are clean. No foxing. The closed page edges are unmarked - they are very slightly dulled. There are no loose or dog-eared pages. The binding is solid and without cracked hinges. There are no previous ownership inscriptions. An attractive copy in a protected wrapper.
