WRAPPERS: No wrapper.
BOOKS: The books are bright, tight and clean. The front and back boards on both books are very bright and very clean. The upper corners are insignificantly rubbed. The spines are bright, the spine lettering is bold and clear. The spines are lightly bruised at the top and bottom. The pages are very clean and without foxing. The closed page edges are sound, though slightly dusty. The bindings are tight - no loose pages or cracked hinges. There is a neat, contemporary (dated 1891) previous ownership inscription on the half title of volume one. A very nice set.
