Victorian Grotesque
A bright, wrappered UK first edition, first impression.
Wrapper : The wrapper on this copy is bright, clean and complete. It is unclipped. The front panel is bright, fresh and unfaded. The spine is clean and crisp. It is gently rubbed at the head. The back panel is clean and bright, showing inconsequential rubbing to the edges. Looks very sharp.
Book : The book is square and very tight. There are no previous ownership inscriptions. The orange boards are exceptionally clean and bright. The corners are sharp. The pages are clean. No foxing. The closed page edges are sound, if inconsequentially dusty. Half the text block is lightly toned at the closed page edges - a different paper stock has been used for the latter half of the book. The binding is tight, the hinges are solid. A very nice, well preserved copy in a protected wrapper.
