Burroughs, Edgar Rice - The Monster Men
A US first edition, first impression. An uncommon title.
WRAPPER : The fragile and very elusive wrapper on this copy is tired and worn. It is unclipped. The front panel shows nicking to the corners and rubbing and light surface creasing to the all the edges. There is 3cm tear in the main body of the panel, running down adjacent to the spine. Two thirds of the spine is missing - the spine panel is being held together by the brodart that protects it. The title of the book and the author's name are present. The back panel is soiled and held in place by the Brodart. It shows loss at the corners and bruising and chipping to all the edges. Still looks acceptable in protective plastic. Scans available on request.
BOOK : The book is square and tight. There are no previous ownership inscriptions. The boards are clean and bright. There is trivial bruising to the corners and spine ends. The pages are clean. No foxing, no dog-eared pages. The closed page edges are gently soiled. The binding is solid - no cracked hinges. An uncommon title in any condition.
