Vintage adventure. Seventeenth edition, with 1934 stated on the copyright page.
The Wrapper: The evocative period wrapper on this copy is bright, unfaded, clean and complete. It is unclipped. The front panel is clean, bright and unfaded. It shows a closed tear (2cm) running up from the lower edge, slight wear to the upper edge and two small chips out of the leading edge. The spine is clean. It is very gently scuffed and bruised at the ends. The white back panel is bright. It is worn to the top and bottom edges - rubbing and a couple of closed tears. Looks very sharp.
The Book: The book is square and very tight. The boards are clean. The corners are sharp. It shows light bruising to the spine ends. The pages are clean. The closed page edges are dusty, lightly toned and gently flecked. No dog-eared pages. The binding is tight - no cracked hinges. There are no previous ownership inscriptions. A nice copy in a protected wrapper.
