All illustrations and maps present. First editions. The books are bright, clean and tight. The front and back boards are clean and unfaded, showing slight rubbing at the edges and corners. The spine ends are bruised, the gilt on the spine is bold. The pages are clean - the opening and closing few pages in each volume are foxed. Volume 2 has new endpapers. The bindings are tight - no cracked hinges, no loose pages. The map pocket is torn, the map is lightly foxed. There is a contemporary ownership inscriptions. A nice set. Please note that postage will be a little more than standard.
