One of 250 numbered copies SIGNED by Robert B. Parker. This is copy number 250. Screenplay for an unproduced film was cannibalized by Chandler for his last novel - this publication demonstrates the significant differences between the two. Preface by James Pepper, and introduction by Robert B Parker. A fine copy without blemishes in a fine, unfaded and unmarked jacket. No inscriptions, no remainder marks, tight binding, fresh pages. This is a particularly interesting copy as it has also been SIGNED and INSCRIBED by James Pepper to Frank Lupo (the American television writer and producer) to the Limitation page. The inscription reads : For Frank Lupo : My friend John Sacret Young discovered the final draft of this screenplay in the files at Universal , until then we were going to publish the rougher draft at UCLA which was very different & much earlier.
