Collins, Norman - The Bat that Flits
A UK first edition, first impression.
WRAPPER : The evocative period wrapper on this copy is bright, clean and complete. It is unclipped, showing the price 10s.6d. on the inside flap. The front panel is bright, sharp and unfaded, showing unobtrusive rubbing to the upper corners. The spine is bright, unfaded and clean. It shows a touch of rubbing at the head and tail. The back panel is sound. There are a number of surface creases at the bottom edge. Looks sharp in protective plastic.
BOOK : The book is square and very tight. The boards are very clean. The spine ends are slightly bruised. The pages are clean. The closed page edges are sound, if insignificantly dulled - the leading edge is gently flecked. No dog-eared pages. The binding is solid - no cracked hinges. There are no previous ownership inscriptions. A nice copy in a protected wrapper.
