Collins, Wilkie - The Woman in White

An early UK reprint - undated, but, given the ecclesiastical gothic endpapers in the book, from the mid 1920's.

WRAPPER : The wrapper on this copy ( artwork by Dudley Jarrett ) is bright, complete and unclipped. It shows light wear to the edges ( tiny chips, nicks to the corners ) and slithers of loss to the spine ends. The spine is unfaded. Well preserved. Looks sharp in protective plastic.

BOOK : The book is tight. The boards are unfaded and the corners are sharp. The spine - as ever - is dulled. There is a touch of trivial bruising to the spine ends. The pages are clean, though ( as usual with Readers Library titles) the text block and closed page edges are browned. There are no loose or dog-eared pages. The binding is tight, the hinges are fragile but solid. A nice copy of a fragile book.
