The book is dedicated to the memory of Derek who died in 1955. In the letter Doyle states : So far as business is concerned, the welfare of the Estate is of equal importance to you Jean and myself, for our interests are identical. He finishes the letter with : I send you herewith a little book of mine which is dedicated to beloved Denis. The letter is SIGNED Adrian.

Wrapper : The wrapper on this copy is bright, clean and complete. It is unclipped, showing the price 12s6d on the inside flap. It show gentle wear along the upper edges and to the spine ends.

Book : The book is square and very tight. The boards are clean and unfaded. The corners are sharp. The spine ends are gently bruised. The pages are clean. No foxing. The closed page edges are dulled.
