Engraved and printed by Edmund Evans. Original tan cloth, decorated and lettered in black. 1897 re-issue. No wrapper. The book is bright, tight and well preserved. The front and back boards are solid and bright, showing light soiling and gentle bumping to the corners. The design on the front board is bright. The spine lettering is bold. The spine is lightly bruised at the top and bottom. The pages are very bright and very clean. No foxing. The closed page edges are just the tiniest touch dulled and dusty. The binding is tight with no loose pages or cracked hinges. There is a contemporary ( 1897 ) ownership inscription on the ffep. A very nice copy.
