Crompton, Richmal - The Old Man's Birthday

An uncorrected UK proof ( Advanced Reader's Copy ). This is a sound copy without previous ownership inscriptions. The plain brown covers are sound, if a touch soiled. They show light rubbing along the edges and creases to the corners. The spine is creased and gently rubbed at the ends. The pages are clean. One or two page corners are bruised. The closed page edges are dusty and show light flecking. The binding is solid - no cracked hinges or loose pages. Uncommon to find proofs of this vintage, and given the fragility of proof copies this is in nice condition and an unusual survivor.
