Caroling Dusk

An anthology of verse by African American poets. Poets include: Paul Laurence Dunbar, W.E.B. Du Bois, Anne Spencer, Jessie Fauset, Georgia Douglas Johnson, Jean Toomer, Langston Hughes and Countee Cullen. Edited by Countee Cullen. Black cloth, labels to front board and spine. A US first edition, first impression.

Wrapper: No wrapper.

Book: The book is sound and tight. The front and back boards are very bright and very clean. The label on the front board is clean and bold. The spine is bright. The spine label is intact though slightly dulled and lightly chipped. The spine is lightly bruised at the top and bottom. The pages are clean and without foxing. The text block is slightly dulled. The closed page edges are toned - the pink topstain has dulled and is dusty. The binding is tight - no loose pages or cracked hinges. There are no previous ownership inscriptions. A very nice copy of an uncommon title.
