Davisson Post, Melville - Randolph Mason The Strange Schemes
A 1922 US reissue of a title that first appeared in 1896.
WRAPPER : The evocative period wrapper on this copy is bright and complete. I can find no price on the inside flaps, which I assume are unclipped. The front panel is bright and unfaded, showing inconsequential rubbing to the extremities. The spine is unfaded, and is trivially rubbed at the top and the bottom. The white back panel is sound. It is gently soiled and shows insignificant rubbing at the extremities. Looks sharp in protective plastic.
BOOK : The book is tight. There are no previous ownership inscriptions. The boards are clean and unfaded. The corners are sharp. There is a touch of trivial bruising to the spine ends. The text block is clean. The closed page edges are dusty and gently toned. They show isolated spotting. There are no loose or dog-eared pages. The binding is tight, the hinges are solid. A very nice copy in a protected wrapper.
