Dellbridge, John - Searchlight on Hambledon
A UK first edition, first impression - undated and no indication of printings on the copyright page, but Hubin gives it as 1947.
WRAPPER : The evocative period wrapper on this copy is bright, unfaded and complete. It has been clipped and re-priced by the publisher. The top edges show light wear, including a couple of barely visible closed tear. There is a tiny touch of reinforcement to the inside of the wrapper. The red spine lettering is unfaded. Looks sharp.
BOOK : The book is square and very tight. The boards are clean and unfaded. The spine ends are gently bruised and rubbed. The pages are clean. The closed page edges are dusty and lightly flecked. The binding is tight - no cracked hinges. No dog-eared pages. There are no previous ownership inscriptions. A nice copy in a protected wrapper.
