A UK First edition - first issue with the 'Fireside' plate and the author credited as 'Boz' on the title page. The books are attractive and tight. The leather is bright and clean showing the occasional scuff or light scratch. The corners are trivially rubbed. The spines are bright, the spine lettering on each volume is bold. The pages are generally bright and clean, showing the occasional spot throughout. The closed page edges are clean. The binding is tight with no loose pages. The title page hinge on Volume 1 is starting. There are no previous ownership inscriptions. An attractive nice set.
