Drummond, Charles - A Death at the Bar - SIGNED
The fifth novel in the Sergeant Bob Reed series. A SIGNED UK first edition, first impression.
Wrapper : The wrapper on this copy is bright, clean, unfaded and complete. It is unclipped. It shows a touch of wear to the top edges and trivial bruising to the spine ends. Looks very sharp.
Book : The book is square and very tight. There are no previous ownership inscriptions. The boards are clean and unfaded. The lower corners and the spine ends are bumped. The pages are clean, though three quarters of the text block has darkened - due to decent paper stock being used for the opening signatures of the book and a different and inferior quality of paper being used in the following signatures. The closed page edges are slightly dusty. No dog-eared pages. The binding is tight - no cracked hinges. This copy has been INSCRIBED by the author : For Ted. The model for all my sinister characters. With luv Ken. Charles Drummond was the pen name of Kenneth Giles. A very nice copy in a protected wrapper.
