Wrapper : The evocative wrapper on this copy is bright and complete. It is unclipped. The front panel is bright, clean and unfaded. It shows light wear at the bottom edge and slight scuffing at each of the corners. The spine is unfaded and fresh. It shows a touch of rubbing and nicking at the head and tail. The white back panel is bright - the bottom edge shows light wear and there is a single closed tear ( 1.5cm ) running down from the top edge. Looks sharp in protective plastic.
Book : The book is square and tight. The boards are bright and clean. The corners are sharp. The spine ends are bruised. The pages are clean. No foxing. The closed page edges are unmarked. No dog-eared pages. The binding is solid - no cracked hinges. There are no previous ownership inscriptions. This copy has been inscribed - To James, with best wishes, Ernest Dudley. A very nice copy in a protected wrapper.
