Eliot, George - Romola (Film Edition)

Film Edition. Undated but, given the ecclesiastical, gothic endpapers in the book, from the mid 1920's - the film came out in 1924.

WRAPPER : The evocative wrapper on this copy is bright, clean, complete and unclipped. It shows light wear to the spine ends. The spine is unfaded. Well preserved. Looks sharp in protective plastic.

BOOK : The book is tight. The boards are unfaded and the corners are sharp. The spine - as ever - is dulled. There is a touch of trivial bruising to the spine ends. The pages are clean, though ( as usual with Readers Library titles) the text block and closed page edges are browned. There are no loose or dog-eared pages. The binding is tight, the hinges are solid. A nice copy of a fragile book.
