WRAPPER : The wrapper on this copy is bright and complete. It has been clipped. The front panel is sound, showing gentle bruising to the leading edge and nicking to all four corners. There is a tiny area of loss at the leading edge corner. The spine is toned. It is scuffed and rubbed to both ends. The back panel is sound, showing light scuffing and nicking to the edges.

BOOK : The book is square and tight. There are no previous ownership inscriptions. The boards are sound. They are soiled at the spine creases. The corners are sharp. The spine ends are gently bruised. The text block is very clean. No foxing. The closed page edges are very slightly toned. No spotting. There are no dog-eared or loose pages. The binding is solid. No cracked hinges. This copy has been SIGNED and dedicated to the title page by James T Farrell. The dedication reads : To James F Leary, Cordially, James T Farrell.
