A UK first edition, first impression.
Wrapper: The period wrapper on this copy is bright, unfaded and complete. It is unclipped - showing the price 5/- on the inside flap. The front panel is bright and unfaded. It shows a gentle wear to the bottom edge and slight overall soiling. The spine is unfaded. It shows slight wear (scuffing, trivial nicking) to the ends. There is a small chip out of the main body of the spine. The white back panel is slightly soiled. Looks sharp.
Book: The book is square and very tight. There are no previous ownership inscriptions. The boards are clean and unfaded, the corners sharp. It shows a hint of trivial bruising to the spine ends. The pages are clean. The closed page edges are sightly dusty. No foxing. No dog-eared pages. The binding is tight - no cracked hinges. A very nice copy in a protected wrapper.
