BOOK : The book is tight. There are no previous ownership inscriptions. The boards are clean and unfaded. The corners are sharp. The spine ends are bruised. The text block is clean. No foxing. The closed page edges are unmarked. There are no loose or dog-eared pages. The binding is tight, the hinges are solid. This copy has a long inscription on the ffep from the author to the art critic, David Sylvester. The inscription reads : To David Sylvester, to show him how sailor boy ( = Harry Fischer )got outofNazi Vienna and over here ( see Voc III - not yet written ). With lots of love, Wolfgang. London 1992. PS. Harry of course is not only sailor boy but also Captain of his fate. A nice copy in a protected wrapper.
