A UK second impression.
WRAPPER : The wrapper on this copy ( priced at 10/6 and with the Sunday Times review on front flap ) is complete, if a little tired. It is unclipped. It shows loss to the edges of the front panel and to the spine ends. The spine is just a tiny bit dulled, the back panel is toned. The edges and the spine panel have been reinforced internally with paper and tape. I think this can be removed, but I am a little faint hearted when it comes to doing so, and hence have left the reinforcement in place.
BOOK : The book is sound and tight. The front and back boards are clean and bright. The corners are all very, very slightly bruised. The spine is bright, the spine lettering is bold. The spine is very lightly bruised at the top and bottom. The pages are clean and without foxing. The closed page edges are very slightly dusty and are slightly dulled. The binding is tight - no cracked hinges. There are no previous ownership inscriptions. The book has a slight lean.
