A Pearson Half Crown reprint. Scarce. Undated and no edition given. Probably from the late 1930's.

Wrapper : The evocative period wrapper on this copy is bright, clean and complete. It is unclipped. The front panel is clean and unfaded. It shows a hint of bruising to the top and bottom edges. The spine is sound. The red lettering and red price roundel have faded. The spine ends are gently rubbed and scuffed.The white back panel is bright. It is inconsequentially soiled and shows trivial bruising at the top and bottom edges. Looks sharp.

Book : The book is square and very tight. There are no previous ownership inscriptions. The boards are clean. The upper corners and the spine ends show light bruising. The pages are clean. The closed page edges are slightly dusty. No dog-eared pages. The binding is tight - no cracked hinges. A very nice copy in a protected wrapper.
