A bright US first edition, first impression in the uncommon wrapper. 1915 stated on the copyright page without mention of subsequent printings.

WRAPPER : The evocative period wrapper on this copy is bright and complete. It is unclipped, showing the price $1.20 on the inside flap. The front panel is bright and unfaded. It shows toning to the margins and slight wear to the edges. The spine is toned and slightly rubbed at the ends. The back panel is bright, showing light toning at the margins. Looks sharp in protective plastic.

BOOK : The book is square and very tight. The boards are fresh and very bright. The spine ends are bruised. The pages are very clean. No foxing. The closed page edges are a little dulled and dusty and show occasional flecking. The binding is solid and without cracked hinges. There are no loose or dog-eared pages. There are no previous ownership inscriptions. A very nice copy in a protected wrapper.
