A US first edition, first impression in the rare wrapper. 1942 stated on the title and copyright pages.

WRAPPER : The period wrapper on this copy is bright and complete. It is unclipped, showing the price $2.00 on the inside flap. It shows light wear and scuffing to all edges and some scuffing to the sides and ends of the spine. The red colours on the spine panel have faded. Looks sharp in protective plastic.

BOOK : The book is square and tight. The boards are clean. The corners are sharp. The spine ends are lightly bruised. The pages are clean. The closed page edges are unmarked, the top edge is a little dusty. The binding is solid and without cracked hinges. There are no loose or dog-eared pages. There are no previous ownership inscriptions. A very nice copy in a protected wrapper.
