WRAPPER : The wrapper on this copy is bright, clean, unfaded and complete. It is unclipped. It shows light bruising to the extremities and the rear panel is toned ( as are inner flaps ). Looks sharp in protective plastic.

BOOK : The book is square and tight. The boards are clean and bright. The spine ends, particularly the tail, are scuffed. The corners are rubbed. The pages are clean - the endpapers are toned. The closed page edges are unmarked. No dog-eared pages. The binding is solid. There are no previous ownership inscriptions. A decent copy of the author's first mystery.
