Wrapper : The period wrapper on this copy ( artwork by Frank Street ) is bright and complete. It is unclipped. The front panel is unfaded, showing overall gentle soiling and wear to both the top and bottom edges. Each of the corners is gently nicked and there is an area of creasing at the top spine corner. The spine crease is split at either end - 3 cm splits. The spine has faded. It is chipped and scuffed at the head, scuffed to the main body and chipped and crease at the tail. The back panel is sound. It is gently soiled and all the corners are trivially nicked. It shows wear to the top and bottom edges.Book : The book is tight and bright. There are no previous ownership inscriptions. The boards are very bright, unfaded and very clean. The corners are sharp. The spine ends show a touch of trivial bruising. The text block is clean. The closed page edges are lightly toned with age. There are no loose or dog-eared pages. The binding is tight, the hinges are solid. A decent copy in a protected wrapper.
