A Commonplace Book for 1898. A large paper limited edition. One of 100 copies, this being copy number 28. Quarter bound in cream over blue paper covered boards. A solid, intact copy of a fragile book. The boards are lightly soiled and scuffed and worn at the corners and extremities. The spine is discoloured and scratched. The spine ends are bumped with occasional chipping. Paper starting along joints. The pages are clean, showing light toning at the margins and ghosting to the endpapers. There is a gift inscription ( dated 1900 ) to the front pastedown. All edges uncut as issued. The hinges are tender. Unusual.
