Large Paper Issue. Limited to 57 copies - this is copy number 44. Quarter bound in brown morocco over brown pebbled cloth. Ruled in gilt on both covers, spine lettered and ruled in gilt. Top edge gilt. All 29 mounted full page plates by Maurice Greiffenhagen and R. Caton Woodville are present, as is the slip affixed to page [iv]. A tight, bright copy, with boards that are bright and unfaded. The spine is clean, the leather on the spine is chafed at the extremities. The gilt lettering on the spine is bright. The corners are lightly bruised. Internally bright and fresh - there is a large, contemporary gift inscription on the ffep. Tightly bound. An attractive copy.
