Two volumes - both in dust wrapper. Volume 1 ( 1949 ): The story of the Kenya and Uganda Railway. Being the official history of the development of the Transport System in Kenya and Uganda. Volume 2 ( 1957 ) : The story of the Tanganyika Railways. Both volumes are first editions. Volume 1 : Very Good ++ in a Very Good wrapper. Wrapper is bright, unfaded and unclipped. It shows wear to the extremities and chip out of the main body of the rear panel. The spine ends are crease and chipped. The book is tight. The boards are clean. The corners and spine ends are slightly bruised. The pages are clean, the closed page edges are sound - the leading edge shows occasional spotting. There is an ownership inscription on the ffep. The binding is tight. Volume 2 : Near Fine in a Very Good ++ wrapper. The wrapper is bright, clean and unfaded. It has been clipped. It shows light rubbing to the spine ends. The book is tight. The boards are clean. The corners are sharp. The pages are clean, the closed page edges are sound - the leading edge shows faint and occasional spotting. There are no previous ownership inscriptions. The binding is tight. A decent set. Please note that postage on these books will be higher than standard.
