A US first edition, first impression in the rare wrapper. 1945 stated on the title and copyright pages.

WRAPPER : The period wrapper on this copy is clean, very bright, unfaded and complete. It is unclipped, showing the price $2.50 on the inside flap. It shows light bruising to the lower edge of the front panel. Well preserved. Looks very sharp in protective plastic.

BOOK : The book is square and tight. The boards are clean. The corners are sharp. The spine ends are bruised. The pages are clean. The closed page edges are bright - some of the closed page edges on the leading edge are lightly toned. The binding is solid and without cracked hinges. There are no loose or dog-eared pages. There are no previous ownership inscriptions. A very nice copy in a protected wrapper.
