A UK first edition. Probable contemporary rebind. The book is tight and bright. The boards are clean. The corners are inconsequentially rubbed. The spine is bright, the gilt spine lettering is bold. The pages are bright and clean. The closed page edges are sound. There is a touch of ghosting to the endpapers. No foxing. The binding is solid - no loose pages. There are no previous ownership inscriptions. The title of the book has been handwritten on the ffep - I should imagine at the time or around the time of issue. A nice copy.
