No wrapper as issued. Laminated pictorial boards. An INSCRIBED UK first edition, first impression. The book is sound and tight. The front and back boards are bright, unfaded and clean. The corners are sharp. The spine ends are lightly bruised. The pages are clean. There are foxing spots to the top edge of three or four pages. The closed page edges are dulled and a little dusty. The binding is tight - no cracked hinges. There are no previous ownership inscriptions. This copy has been INSCRIBED by Shirley Hughes to the title page : For Ann with my very best wishes Shirley Hughes. A nice copy.
