A UK first edition, first impression - SIGNED by the illustrator, George Adamson .
Wrapper: The wrapper on this copy (artwork by George Adamson) is bright, clean and complete. It is unclipped. It shows light soiling to the back panel and gentle bruising to the lower edges. The red lettering on the spine has lost a little of its lustre. Looks sharp.
Book: The book is square and very tight. There are no previous ownership inscriptions. The boards are very clean and are unfaded and bright. The corners are sharp. It shows a hint of trivial bruising to the spine ends. The pages are very clean. The closed page edges are fresh. No foxing. No dog-eared pages. The binding is tight - no cracked hinges. This copy has been SIGNED on the ffep: 'with good wishes from Peggy and George'. A very nice copy in a protected wrapper.
