Undated - but 1952. Quarter bound in black cloth over black faux crocodile skin textured boards. A UK first edition - in the uncommon, fragile wrapper.

Wrapper : The wrapper on this copy is solid and complete. It is unclipped - showing the price 8/6 on the inside flap. The wrapper shows overall dust soiling and gentle wear to all edges and corners. Looks sharp.

Book : The book is square and tight. There are no previous ownership inscriptions. The black boards are clean and unfaded, the corners are gently rubbed. There is a hint of trivial bruising to the spine ends. The pages are very clean. The closed page edges are sound - the top edge is a little dusty. No foxing. No dog-eared pages. The binding is tight - no cracked hinges. A nice copy in a protected wrapper.
