Original red cloth, lettered in gilt to the front board. Spine rebacked - with old spine ( lettered in gilt ) laid on. New endpapers. Illustrated and with a large map in a rear pocket. A first edition, first printing. The book is bright, clean and tight. The front and back boards are very clean. The corners are rubbed. The spine is sharp. The pages are clean. The closed page edges are dulled and gently flecked. The binding is tight - no cracked hinges, no loose pages. There are no previous ownership inscriptions. The map is nicked, fragile and in three pieces. A very nice copy.
