WRAPPER : The period wrapper on this copy ( artwork by Stead ) is bright, unfaded and complete. It is unclipped, showing the price 7/6 on the front inside flap. It s lightly rubbed at the top edges and at the spine ends and the back panel is - as ever - lightly soiled. The spine panel is unfaded. Looks sharp in protective plastic.

BOOK : The book is square and tight. The boards are clean. There is a tiny slither of fading at the heel of the spine. The corners are sharp. The pages are clean.The closed page edges are slightly dusty and show occasional light flecking. There are no loose or dog-eared pages. The binding is solid and without cracked hinges.There are no previous ownership inscriptions. An attractive copy in a protected wrapper.
