A Record of Scientific Exploration in Eastern Equatorial Africa. And a General Description of the Natural History, Languages, and Commerce of the Kilima-Njaro District. Original red cloth with illustration to front board. Gilt lettering to the spine. All maps (6) and all illustrations present. A first edition, first printing. The book is sound, clean and tight. The front and back boards are clean. Each corner is inconsequentially rubbed. The spine is marked, creased and gently faded. The spine ends are bruised. The pages are clean, the endpapers show ghosting. There is the occasional spot throughout. The closed page edges are dulled and show occasional spotting. The binding is tight - the board hinges have been repaired. No loose pages. There is are no previous ownership inscriptions. A nice copy. Please note that as this is a heavy book, postage will be a little more than that quoted byABE.
