Wrapper : The evocative wrapper on this copy is bright and complete. It is unclipped. The front panel is bright and unfaded, showing faint spotting to the main body. The spine is gently soiled. It shows slight rubbing at the ends. The back panel is sound. As with the front panel, it shows faint spotting to the main body. Looks sharp in protective plastic.
Book : The book is square and tight. There is mottling to the upper half of the front board. The corners are sharp. The spine has gently faded and there is a tiny touch of bruising to the spine ends. The pages are clean. No foxing. The closed page edges are slightly dusty and show occasional spotting. No dog-eared pages. The binding is solid - no cracked hinges. There are no previous ownership inscriptions. This copy has been SIGNED by Charles Kingston on the title page. The author has also added the date - October 18th 1938. A nice copy in a protected wrapper.
